Fast Fat Burn

This is diet season. If food is always on your mind, it’s time to wrap your mind around something else. The latest research out of Boston University confirms we can burn fat best by increasing our proportion of fast twitch muscles.

Here’s something worth focusing on. Our muscles are mixes of fast and slow twitch fibers. Fast and slow twitch have to do with how fast our muscles contract, and how fast our muscles tire when they’re repeatedly stimulated. Fast twitch fiber provides short power bursts, slow twitch provides continuous effort - like standing, walking or maintaining posture. Slow-twitch predominance can determine distance runners, cross country skiers or other endurance athletes; and fast twitch predominance can decide sprinters, ice hockey players, power lifters, or other athletes needing sudden, rapid bursts of strength. Genetics aren’t the only determiner.

Fast/slow characteristics of muscle fibers can be changed somewhat by training. Athletes benefit if they work both their fast twitch and slow twitch fibers by combining strength and endurance training. Endurance training can boost the aerobic capacity of fast twitch fibers until they tire almost as slowly as the slow twitchers. Likewise, serious, high intensity interval training can boost fast twitch fiber ratios. That’s what we’re after.

If you want to reduce fat, either boost your fast twitch ratio by doing some serious interval training, or take ATW’s new Melt-A-Way fat burner. Melt-A-Way’s advanced formula will target your fat without making you feel jittery. You’ll get maximum fat burning power without any of the jitters - or the twitches! Either way, it’s mind over matter.
